Before the meeting began, Elizabeth Deeb announced that June Hill had brought fruit cake, and the Martinez Kids brought homemade sugar cookies, peppermint cookies candy canes, and cherry diabetic cookies.
The sixty-fifth meeting of the Tri-City Coin Club was called to order at 6:35pm. The President, George Minson, stated that this meeting would be a short meeting filled more with socializing, eating cookies, and having the raffle and auction. There would not be any deep discussions tonight. June Hill, Secretary, read the official minutes of the November meeting. The minutes were approved and seconded with no corrections.
Before reading the Treasurer's report, Elizabeth Deeb, Treasurer, reported that Rodger, our old President, was still in the hospital and is very sick but is stable. Doctors believe he will pull through, but Rodger does not feel like having visitors, but appreciates the cards people have been sending him.
Elizabeth reported a current balance as of November 30, 2007, with one expenditure. She announced that there is only one item left for the Children's (17 and under) Drawing. So if in the spirit of Christmas time, that anyone feels generous enough to donate a few items to the Club for the Children's Drawing, then to see her.
Danita Archer, Registrar, made her report of 18 members in attendance: 3 youth, and 15 adults. Both reports were approved and seconded wth no corrections.
OLD BUSINESS- none
NEW BUSINESS-
Geaorge Minson announced that the Executive Board will meet January 5th to further discuss the changing of the By-Laws and will present them to the club at the next meeting, January 14, 2008, to read over and think about the new changes to the By-Laws. We will vote on them at the February Meeting.
Margarita Martinez, our webdesigner, explained that we need to decide whether or not to renew the Domain name for the Tri-City Coin Club's website: www.tricitycoinclub.com by February 16th, 2007. She explained that Rodger had paid for the first year of the domain name as an experiment as to whether or not we wanted a website permanently. And just to have the website for a year and at the end of that year, to vote on whether the club would pay for the domain so we could keep the website. George Minson said that we should hold off until January to vote when more members would be present.
